Micro Computed Tomography (GE-Phoenix nanotom s)

  • Microfocus X-ray tube with transmission target (W@Diamond and Mo@Be), interchangeable, 20 W
  • Accelerating voltage up to 180 kV
  • Semiconductor area detector, resolution 2304 x 2304 pixels, pixel size 50 µm, 2x2 and 4x4 binning possible to increase sensitivity
  • Compressed-air-supported sample stage with chuck, max. sample size approx. 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm (the minimum voxel size is then approx. 30 µm)
  • Minimum voxel size: approx. 1 µm (the maximum specimen size is then approx. 2–3 mm edge length)
  • Micro-test cell for 3-point bending tests (Deben) with simultaneous radiography
  • Lenovo P620 workstation (AMD Threadripper 5995WX, 64 cores, 512 GB RAM for data analysis)
  • Phoenix datos|X software package (measurement and reconstruction), Bruker micro CT – CTAnalyser (analysis, determination of geometric parameters, e.g. porosity, pore size, pore shape and orientation, and much more)
